IMPORTANT NOTICE. This is meant to be a "free and easy" budget trip. Participants should be relatively fit, with a good sense of humour, and above all, have the right attitude for close travel with others through possibly some trying times. Most definitely, this is not a trip for prudes, whiners, fuss-pots, and other similiarly assorted types! Although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption and/or deviation from the norm. Otherwise, have fun! 

This 12-day journey through Northern Luzon brings you across the Philippines’ most captivating highlands and heritage towns. From the cool pine-covered hills of BAGUIO to the mystical caves and hanging coffins of SAGADA, the awe-inspiring Batad Rice Terraces of BANAUE, and the cultural traditions of BUSCALAN, every stop offers a glimpse into the country’s deep history and natural beauty. Along the way, you’ll meet warm locals, taste unique regional flavors, and enjoy breathtaking drives through mountain and coastal landscapes. The trip also includes time to unwind by the beach at SANTIAGO COVE, wander through the Spanish colonial streets of VIGAN, and end with a refreshing hike at Avatar Gorge near ANGELES. It’s a perfect blend of nature, culture, history, and adventure — a true northern Philippines interlude you won’t forget.

DAY 0 - 09 JAN 2026 (FRI) KLIA2 Gather at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 around 2155PM (3 hours before departure) for our midnight flight to Manila departing 0050 10 JAN 2026
DAY 1 - 10 JAN 2026 (SAT) KUALA LUMPUR-MANILA-BAGUIO (250KM~5hr) Our Cebu Pacific flight 5J502 will depart from KUL-MNL (0050-0510) Arrive in Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport Terminal 3. Our driver will pick us up from airport to begin the journey north to Baguio . Depending on arrival time, enjoy the fresh mountain air and take a stroll along Session Road or Burnham Park, or enjoy a cool evening coffee in the “Summer Capital of the Philippines”. DAY 2 - 11 JAN 2026 (SUN) BAGUIO-SAGADA (150KM~5hr)After breakfast, continue the scenic mountain drive to Sagada. Along the way, enjoy views of pine forests, vegetable terraces, and mountain ranges. Arrive in Sagada by late afternoon. Evening free to settle in and enjoy the quiet mountain atmosphere. Overnight in Sagada
DAY 3 - 12 JAN 2026 (MON) SAGADA EXPLORATION Morning trek to Echo Valley to see the iconic hanging coffins, a centuries-old burial tradition. Continue walking through limestone cliffs and forested trails. Afternoon visit to Sumaguing Cave, known for its limestone formations and underground rivers — prepare for an adventurous spelunking experience. In the evening, you may explore the town or try Sagada’s specialty coffee. Overnight in Sagada

DAY 4 - 13 JAN 2026 (TUE) SAGADA-BLUE SOIL-BANAUE (65KM~2hr) Start the day with a short trek to Blue Soil Hill, a natural wonder where the ground is tinted bluish due to copper deposits. The walk is scenic, passing through pine forests. After the visit, drive to Banaue. Upon arrival, free time to explore Banaue town, local shops, and the rice terrace viewpoints. Overnight in Banaue
DAY 5 - 14 JAN 2026 (WED) BANAUE SIGHTSEEING Day excursion to the Batad Rice Terraces, a UNESCO site shaped like an amphitheater. Trek down from the Batad Saddle Point to the village (30–40 mins), passing through rice paddies and traditional Ifugao houses. Meet villagers and learn about their way of life. Continue the trek to Tappiyah Falls (30–40 mins), where you can swim in a natural pool before heading back to Banaue. Overnight in Banaue
DAY 6 - 15 JAN 2026 (THU) BANAUE-BUSCALAN(WHANG-OD)-BONTOC (87KM~3.5hr) Travel deeper into the mountains toward Buscalan. Visit the home of Whang-od, the legendary mambabatok tattoo artist, or her apprentices. Experience the traditional Kalinga tattoo culture or simply enjoy the calm mountain village while sipping rice coffee. Later, continue to Bontoc (~45 mins). Overnight in Bontoc
DAY 7 - 16 JAN 2026 (FRI) BONTOC - AW ASEN FALLS (61KM~2hr)-SANTIAGO COVE (109KM~3hr) Start with a short stop at the Bontoc Market or Bontoc Museum for insights into the Cordillera culture. Continue to Aw-Asen Falls, where a 2-hr trek brings you to one of the tallest waterfalls in the Ilocos region. After the hike, drive west toward the coast, reaching Santiago Cove.. Evening free to relax by the beach. Overnight in Santiago Cove

DAY 8 - 17 JAN 2026 (SAT) SANTIAGO COVE-VIGAN (60KM~1.5hr) After breakfast, drive north to Vigan. Evening to explore Calle Crisologo, a UNESCO World Heritage street lined with centuries-old houses, shops, and horse-drawn calesas. Try local snacks or enjoy the lively night market. Overnight in Vigan
DAY 9 - 18 JAN 2026 (SUN) VIGAN SIGHTSEEING Spend the day exploring Vigan’s heritage: visit Vigan Cathedral, Plaza Salcedo, and Syquia Mansion Museum. Sample local delicacies such as empanada and longganisa. Optional visit to Baluarte Mini Zoo or take a calesa ride around town. Evening free for shopping or relaxing in the old town atmosphere. DAY 10 - 19 JAN 2026 (MON) VIGAN-ANGELES (300KM~7hr) Depart Vigan and drive south to Angeles. Upon arrival, check in and relax after the long journey. Angeles is a city with a vibrant food and cultural scene. Time permitting, we may explore Angeles Heritage District, visit the Museo Ning Angeles to learn about local history, or take a stroll around Holy Rosary Parish Church, a neo-Gothic landmark. Food lovers can enjoy Kapampangan cuisine, the region is famous as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines,” with specialties like sisig, bringhe (local paella), and tibuk-tibuk (carabao’s milk pudding). Evening free at leisure to rest or try the lively dining spots around Angeles City’s Walking Street. Overnight in Angeles

DAY 11 - 20 JAN 2026 (TUE) AVATAR GORGE (50KM~1.5hr) We will do a day trip to Avatar Gorge, known for its striking rock walls, clear streams, and refreshing natural pools. The scenery is so unique it’s often compared to the landscapes in the movie Avatar. Spend the day hiking, swimming, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings before returning to Angeles in the evening.Overnight in Angeles
DAY 12 - 21 JAN 2026 (WED) ANGELES-MANILA-KUALA LUMPUR After breakfast, free and easy morning before we drive back to Manila (80km~ 2 hrs) for flight Cebu Pacific 5J501, MNL-KUL (1955-0005+1)
DAY 13 - 22 JAN 2026 (THU) KLIA T2 - Arrive Kuala Lumpur around 0005.
